February 2024
Hello, Xavier Families!
If you can believe it - it's already February! The semester is fully underway and hopefully your student has settled into classes. As we gear up for mid-terms and advising season, check on your students. The stress of the semester is likely setting in, and they may need a little extra support right now. If they are feeling stressed encourage them to reach out for support.
We have a lot going on this month on-campus and I am excited to share updates with you. Don’t forget to check out our latest Extended Family Podcast episodes featuring an episode all about Parent and Family Support!

Congratulations on reaching this monumental moment for you and your student! To ensure your student is prepared for commencement, below is a list of helpful items for them to complete:
- Apply For Graduation – The deadline to apply for Graduation was Friday, January 19, 2024. Applications submitted after the deadline incur a $50 late fee. An application must be submitted in order to award your degree, whether or not you plan to participate in the ceremony.

The Grad Fair takes place on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, in the Cintas Center. Students are able to pick up their pre-ordered regalia, shop alumni swag via the All for One Shop, participate in the filming of the graduation video, and much more!
Our ceremonies are scheduled for Saturday, May 11, 2024, in the Cintas Center. The undergraduate ceremony starts at 9:00 a.m., and the graduate ceremony is at 2:30 p.m. Students who graduate in August and December are invited to participate in the May ceremonies. There are no additional ceremonies in August or December. Tickets are not required, but any accommodation requests should be sent to commencement@xavier.edu in advance.
We cannot wait to celebrate their accomplishments. For additional questions or concerns, please reach out to our Commencement Committee and a member of the Committee will be happy to respond.
