Making a Textbook Request

Textbooks do not need to be purchased prior to submitting an accessible media request; however, access will be verified before textbooks will be available or shared with the student. The processing timeline may not start until after access has been verified.

Reminders may be sent out periodically to eligible students approved for this accommodation. Monitor Xavier email for questions about requests.

By making a textbook request, the student agrees to the our accessible media terms.

Schedule an appointment with the Assistive Technology Coordinator to learn how to access accessible materials and/or use appropriate assistive technology. For any questions regarding, accessible media textbook requests, please email alttext@xavier.edu.

Submitting a Textbook Request

AIM Book Request instructions are for students who are approved through the Office of Accessibility and Disability Resources to receive the accommodation of books in accessible media. For students who are not yet approved, please schedule an appointment to review eligibility for this accommodation.

"Books in Accessible Media" must be selected as requested accommodation for the courses you wish to request books for.
