Adding, Dropping or Withdrawing from a Course
Full Term Classes:
Adding a Class
Classes can be added through the first seven calendar days of the term.
Dropping a Class
- Classes can be dropped through the first seven calendar days of the term without a grade appearing on the student’s academic record.
- Undergraduate students receive a grade of “W” for classes dropped from the eighth calendar day of the term through approximately 80% of the term.
- A student should consult with the Office of Financial Assistance before withdrawing if:
- A student would drop below 12 hours for the term after a course withdrawal.
- A student has multiple withdrawals on their transcript. A student must successfully complete 67% of the classes they attempt to maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress. Multiple withdrawals can have a negative impact on this and may put a student at risk of loss of Financial Aid.
See the Academic Calendar for specific dates and policies.
Shortened term courses:

The Office of the Bursar adjusts the student’s financial account based on the add-drop activity.
