Family Weekend Frequently Asked Questions

Family Weekend 2025 is scheduled for October 17-19. Please note dates are subject to change.

The cost of Family Weekend covers brunch in the caf on Saturday, Family Fall Fest, Presidential Breakfast on Sunday, free admission into the fitness center in the Health United Building, admission into the Men & Women's Soccer games and Family Weekend Bingo.

The theatre performances will cost extra (You can purchase tickets for the shows . If you have any questions you can reach out to gscboxoffice@xavier.edu or call 513-745-3939), The Annual Songwriters Celebration (tickets are $15 at the door) and The Choral Showcase (purchase tickets here).
Absolutely! It is easier to have your student register for your family because they already have an EngageXU account with Xavier.
You can park anywhere on campus starting Friday, October 18 - Sunday, October 20.  The only place families cannot park is at University Station, they will be towed.

Families will need to register for Bingo on Saturday evening - there will be two sessions, you are only allowed to register and attend one. You must be registered for Family Weekend and present your Family Weekend wristbands at Bingo check-in. Families will also need to register for the Presidential Breakfast on Sunday and you must be registered for Family Weekend and present your wristbands at check-in. Families also need to register for Community Action Day on Saturday morning.

Registration for Community Action Day will open on Wednesday, September 4 at 12pm Eastern Time

Registration for The Presidential Breakfast will open on Wednesday, September 18 at 12pm Eastern Time

Registration for Bingo will open on Wednesday, September 25 at 12pm Eastern Time

 

Yes, please email familyweekend@xavier.edu with your receipt number.  Please note that refunds typically take 7-10 business days.

There are two options, pre-registration (we recommend this) and on-site registration.  Pre-registration opens on Wednesday, September 4 at 12pm Eastern Time.  There will be a registration link sent out to families via email with instructions on how to register. You can also register on-site Friday and Saturday of Family Weekend during the designated times listed on the schedule. Please note you must include your Xavier Student when you register. The cost of registration is $35 per person. Children under 5 and Xavier Students are free.

*Please note that on-site registration will be cashless, we will only accept credit cards.

  • We will email out a link the day registration opens (September 4 at 12pm Eastern Time)
  • You will be redirected to the EngageXU homepage, if you are not a student please create a guest account. A six-digit verification code will be sent to the email you have provided (check your spam if you don't receive it).  Once you enter the verification code, the system will login you in as a guest user so you are able to register.
  • After you are setup as a guest user you will be directed to the Family Weekend Event page, scroll down to registration.
  • Select the quantity of tickets you will need, then click register. You will be redirected to enter your registration details.  Once you do this then you will confirm your registration. 
  • Once you confirm you will be redirected to the Xavier University payment portal to purchase your tickets and they will send you a confirmation with a receipt number.  This will complete your registration for Family Weekend!

Yes, admission into Musketeer Madness is free. Please note to ensure safety of every guest, all persons will be subject to screening and bag check upon entrance to the Cintas Center. No bags will be permitted except for clear bags, small clutch purses, and diaper or medical bags. No water bottles are allowed.
