Our students come from a variety of academic backgrounds including health services, psychology, business, natural sciences and general studies. We are pleased to consider applications from students who hold a baccalaureate degree from any accredited college or university.

Your application to the Xavier University MHSA program is carefully reviewed by our admissions committee. We consider each student's application on a case-by-case basis with personal attention given to all your application materials.

Our FREE application is through Xavier, not an expensive third party. Instructions for document uploads, references, and transcripts are in the application. Applications may close at any time once programs fill, and late applicants may be placed on a waitlist or deferred to the next available start term. Apply early!

APPLICATION DEADLINES

Complete an information request form (button at the bottom of the page) to receive application openings, deadlines, and other program updates.

Xavier's application is internal, with all materials being sent to Xavier through our FREE ONLINE APPLICATION. To create an equitable application process, we do not use expensive third-party application services.

Applications may close once all seats are filled and deadlines are subject to change at any time. Apply early!

**RESIDENTIAL MHSA & MHSA/MBA Dual Degree* (Full time, on campus) - Admits in Fall each year**

FALL 2024
- Final Application Deadline: June 1, 2024.
- Transcripts & References have until July 1, 2024 to arrive for consideration for Fall 2024.
- Late applicants may be placed on a waitlist or deferred to the Fall 2025 term.

FALL 2025
- Application opens in August 2024
- Fall 2025 Priority Funding Deadlines. All admitted full-time MHSA students who follow the Priority Funding Deadlines below will receive MHSA departmental funding for their first year of study (2025-26 year), with additional funding available for subsequent years.
  - December 1, 2024: All application materials must be received
  - January 10, 2025: Interviews must be completed
  - February 1, 2025: First-round admits, waitlist, and denials released
    - Admitted students will receive Supplemental Scholarship applications, which will be due by March 1, 2025
  - March 1, 2025: Supplemental Scholarship applications due. Recipients will be notified of their awards by March 15, 2025
  - April 1, 2025: Confirmation is due by April 1, 2025 to secure funding
- Fall 2025 Final Deadlines. Applicants who complete their applications after the Priority Funding Deadlines may be considered for Fall 2025 and will be added to a waitlist.
  - Applicants who are admitted after the Priority Funding deadlines will have two weeks from the release of their letter to confirm their acceptance
  - June 1, 2025: Final deadline to apply for Fall 2025

*MHSA/MBA Dual Degree applicants should first complete the MHSA application. Once processed, complete the MBA application. Both applications are free of charge and available in the Xavier University graduate application.

EXECUTIVE MHSA (Part time, online) - Admits in Fall and Spring each year

FALL 2024 FINAL APPLICATION DEADLINE: August 1, 2024
SPRING 2025 FINAL APPLICATION DEADLINE: December 1, 2024
- Spring 2024 application should open in August 2024
FALL 2025
- The Fall 2025 application should open in August 2024. Deadlines will be posted once the application opens.

CONFIRMATION DEADLINES

FALL 2024: Full-time MHSA, MHSA/MBA Dual Degree, and Executive MHSA
- Students admitted on or before June 1, 2024 must confirm by June 15, 2024
- Students admitted after June 1, 2024 must confirm their acceptance within two weeks of the release of their acceptance
SPRING 2025: Executive MHSA - Application opens in August 2024
- Students must confirm their acceptance within two weeks of the release of their acceptance
FALL 2025: Application opens in August 2024
- Full-time MHSA & MHSA/MBA Dual Degree
  - Students offered admission from the first-round decision (those who achieved the Priority Funding Deadline) will have until April 1, 2025 to secure their seat and funding in the program
  - Students offered admission after the first-round will have two weeks to secure their seat and funding
- Executive MHSA
  - Students must confirm their acceptance within two weeks of the release of their acceptance

Scholarships and Financial Aid

Guild Tuition & Fee Reimbursement
Guild is a third party who contracts with specific employers, such as Cincinnati Children's Hospital, to administer tuition benefit reimbursement. Applicants whose employers work with Guild for employee tuition benefits: Visit the Guild FAQs page for help, as well as your employer's HR and/or benefits departments.
