Visitor Parking FAQ

Visitors can easily obtain a parking permit by registering their vehicle online. Follow these steps:

  1. Visit the Parking Registration Website: Go to Xavier.edu/visitorpermit, where you will find a user-friendly platform for visitor registration
  2. Select Parking Duration: Choose the length of time you plan to park on campus. Options may include hourly (half-day) or daily, depending on your needs.
  3. Enter Personal & Vehicle Information: Provide your cell phone number and a case sensitive code will be sent authenticating your number. Provide vehicle information. This information is essential for enforcement purposes.
  4. Submit Payment: Pay the applicable parking fee securely online using a credit or debit card. Fees are calculated based on the selected parking duration.
  5. Confirmation: After completing the registration, your license plate is your visitor permit.

No Physical Permit Required:

There is no need to print or display a physical permit. Enforcement is conducted using advanced license plate recognition (LPR) technology, which scans your license plate to verify registration and payment.

Department Chairs wishing to fund out of departmental budgets visitor parking for guest speakers need to fill out the Departmental Parking Request Form.

Once received, Parking Services will contact the department chair for next steps.

If the visitor parks in a non-visitor space they are subject to citation and or other enforcement actions. To facilitate a seamless parking experience, please ensure the guest has the parking map and the below information for parking areas.
