WebCheck Fingerprinting Services
National WebCheck Fingerprinting
Background checks through January 13th, 2025 are by appointment only. Please email odonnellh@xavier.edu or fullera@xavier.edu for an appointment.
Fingerprint services are generally available at the Xavier University Police Department for any member of the Xavier University Community. WebCheck Fingerprinting Services are generally available 9am-4pm Monday-Friday when the university is in session. While no appointment is necessary, this service is based on staff availability.
Most background investigations require electronic submission of fingerprints. Some require fingerprint cards using ink method; Xavier University Police does not offer these types of fingerprinting services. You can contact the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office Identity Unit at (513) 946-6400 for assistance.
The cost of electronic fingerprinting is $62.50 for the State of Ohio and FBI checks. Individuals being fingerprinted will be billed through the Bursar's Office for the background check. We do not accept cash or credit cards.
You should allow seven to ten working days, but it may take up to thirty days, for the results of the check to reach their destination. If you need to know if the background check was received, contact the department it was sent to. The Xavier Police Department cannot check on the status of the background check or if it has arrived.
If the department that the background check was mailed to did not receive it and it has been longer than 30 days, contact the Ohio Attorney General's Office at 877-224-0043.
