Ofc. Michelle Fern

Ofc. Michelle Fern was sworn into the Xavier University Police Department in June 2022. Officer Fern was born and raised in Cincinnati, graduating from McAuley High School in 1997. After working in many different fields from the printing press industry to aerospace, Ofc. Fern decided to become a Police Officer, which was a childhood dream. Ofc. Fern completed her Peace Officer training at Butler Tech in June 2008. Over her fourteen years in the field, she has served in various positions in Hamilton and Butler counties. Her passion is Bike Patrol. She is also a certified Field Training Officer, Property Room/Evidence Manager, and MHRT response officer. Ofc. Fern earned an Associate of Criminal Justice degree from the University of Cincinnati in 2016. When Ofc. Fern is not at work, she loves doing long-distance bicycle rides to relax, binging any new tv shows, movie marathons, and diving into a good book by James Patterson or Stephen King.
