Asst. Chief Gregory Haigis
Assistant Chief of Police, Xavier University Police Department
Asst. Chief Haigis began his been with Xavier University for 2 years. His career in 1998 with the Campbell County, KY Police Department. In 2010, he joined the Highland Heights Police Department where he worked until his retirement in August 2021. Through his 25 years in law enforcement, he has experience in patrol, investigations, narcotics, training and property room management. He spent the final six years of his former career in a supervisory role while simultaneously leading the Campbell County Crime Scene Unit and the Campbell Country Major Accident Reconstruction Team. Asst. Chief Haigis graduated from the Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice Training’s Academy of Police Supervision, the Criminal Justice Executive Development Program and the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s National Academy Session #273. In 2018, he earned his Master’s Degree in Executive Leadership and Organizational Change at Northern Kentucky University. He has four children and resides in Wilder, KY.
