University Library's Star Students
Halen Wick, Makerspace Student Manger, was nominated for Xavier's 2022 Student Employee of the Year. Halen is a senior Biology major and has worked in the Makerspace for three years. He’s patient, knowledgeable, and creative. We are so proud of the work he has done making the Makerspace a welcoming and productive place in the library.
Rachel Purpura, University Archives & Special Collections student employee, was selected for the top 10 best French essays submitted to the American Journal of French Studies. Her work will be published in the spring edition of AJFS. Rachel is a senior French and Francophone studies/History major. She will be completing her M.Litt in Medieval studies at the University of St Andrews.

Tuesday, April 5: Literally Connect with Your Library - Makerspace open house, 10am-4pm on McDonald Library 1st floor (from 2-4pm University Library Makerspace with SGA and 4 Paws for Ability at XU will host Puppies & Paint)
New Acquisitions: University Archives and Special Collections - pop-up display, 10am-12pm on McDonald Library 3rd floor
Wednesday, April 6: Join David Inczauskis, SJ for his Book Launch of Honduran Cinema: Art, Identity, and Politics, 12-1pm on McDonald Library 1st floor
Thursday, April 7: Banned and Challenged Book Read-In, 10am-12pm in the CLC atrium - and come "check out" a title from the American Library Association’s Top 100 Banned or Challenged Book List display
Friday, April 8: Popcorn served all day in the CLC atrium
