Student Activities

Summer Service Internships

During the summertime, Musketeers can take advantage of full-time, local community-based, non-profit opportunities and live in community on campus through the Dorothy Day Center for Faith and Justice (CFJ). Several of Xavier's partner organizations include a focus on sustainability and ecological justice including the Civic Garden Center of Greater Cincinnati and the IMAGO Earth Center.

Plant Plotting

House plants are shown to reduce stress and boost moods. Xavier University offers a multitude of opportunities to learn about planting. Xavier also brings them into residence rooms and homes especially at Welcome Week and during exam periods at the ABSN site in Cleveland.

Veg-out Dinners

Veg-out dinners are an activity where students gather for a weekly vegetarian-based meals prepared by the CFJ staff. It is estimated that a vegetarian diet can reduce one's individual carbon footprint by up to 75%.
