The Wetzel and Escorcia Team in Action at ASPET 2023.jpg

The Wetzel and Escorcia Team in Action at ASPET 2023! Kennedy had a captivating talk about CYP enzymes in cancer. Lance responded well to though questions on his work with creatine. Wetzel generated constructive discussions on the pharmacology+pedagogy front! Julia, Mauricio (not shown) and Nijah saw their hard work communicated to nearly 800 attendees. Wilber learned a bunch about cancer pharmacology.

In April 2023, Wilber gave a talk at the Midwest Aging Consortium (MAC) Symposium at Iowa State Univeristy on the role of lipid regulators in the response to genotoxic stress from yeast to humans. Work by Meghan Graber, Hayley Barta, and Mauricio Dominguez show relevant associations between age of histology presentation in cancer and footprints of lipid deregulation.

At the podium, Wilber is thanking his students for making the project happen.
