Study Table Support

What are study tables and who can come?

Study tables are dedicated spaces/hours where students who are approved for accommodations can receive assistance based on their individual levels of need/comfort. Students work with peers who have received training through the Office of Accessibility and Disability Resources to provide academic coaching support.

What can I get help with at study tables?

Peer academic coaches are available to provide support to students who struggle with executive functioning. The purpose of the Study Table Support is to provide individual coaching to assist students with:

  • Reviewing Canvas to ensure assignments are complete
  • Creating a plan for completing homework assignments
  • Assisting students with initiating assignments such as papers
  • Breaking down larger assignments to make them more manageable
  • Connecting students with other helpful services like tutoring, Writing Center appointments, etc.

Students can use this time as a dedicated homework or study time. A coach can check-in with the student to make sure the student is staying focused and making progress.
