Metro Ridership Program - Spring Semester 2025

Xavier has partnered with Metro for a free ridership program for students and employees for the Spring 2025 semester. This is a pilot program to help us determine student interest in a long-term relationship with Metro.

If you registered in the fall, the free bus passes were credited to your Transit app account on Friday, January 10. There is no need to re-register.

University students and employees who are new to the program and have not yet signed up, should follow the 3-step process below.

  1. Download the Transit app and create an account using your Xavier email. Use this Step-by-Step Guide.
  2. Add the EZ Fare Ticketing option to your account in the Transit app.
  3. Confirm your registration by completing the Xavier form on EngageXU.

NOTE: All steps MUST be completed in order, or you will NOT receive free bus passes in your Transit app ticket wallet.

Metro will be on campus to promote the opportunity, assist with sign-ups, and share information about local routes on the following dates:

  • Fridays from 4pm-6pm outside of GSC during Food Truck Fridays
  • Tuesdays from 4pm-6pm inside GSC during Treat Yourself Tuesdays
  • Every other Wednesday (2/5, 2/19, 3/5, 3/19, 4/2, 4/16, 4/30) from 11:30am-1:30pm inside Justice Atrium
