Sedler Xavier Center for Experiential Learning

Better Blend Xavier

 Our Story

Better Blend meets Xavier University = BBX. As a venture of the Sedler Xavier Center for Experiential Learning, BBX strives to provide healthy alternatives to students while students discover relevant, real-world business experiences that complement and amplify classroom learning.

At Better Blend, we challenge the status quo. We don’t believe that nutritious food can’t be delicious, that “fast food” has to mean “junk food,” or that healthy living has to be difficult. We make it easy for students to eat well with a variety of smoothies, smoothie bowls, and healthy snacks that taste like everyone’s favorite indulgences—without the guilt.

Since launching, BBX has hired 18 students and two General Managers for its first operational year. As students graduate, we are transitioning to a leadership model with one Student General Manager, two Student Assistant General Managers, and 18 student employees.

Beyond offering nutritious options, BBX provides students with hands-on experience in managing and operating a small business—without the financial risk. Through this opportunity, students develop leadership, teamwork, and entrepreneurial skills that set them apart in their careers.
