Washington, DC Internships
The Department of Political Science offers students the opportunity to earn Xavier course credit participating in a full-time internship program in Washington DC offered by the Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars.
- Students who participate in the Fall or Spring semesters earn 12 credits (9 credits for the internship and 3 credits for an internship course). Since full-time students may take as many as 18 credits in a semester, students in the program may earn additional credits through independent study or online coursework taken at Xavier during this time.
- Students who participate in the Summer program earn 9 credits (6 credits for the internship and 3 credits for an internship course).
Ohio Scholarships through the Washington Center
Students may be eligible for state scholarships offered by the Washington Center that are available to students who attend an Ohio college (yes, Xavier students who are non-Ohio residents are eligible for these scholarships).
