Facilities
The Montessori program is housed in the Joseph Building on the west side of Xavier University's campus. The building contains a beautifully equipped Montessori school for children 3-14 years of age as well as program offices and practice rooms. The facility includes classrooms for children and adults including a large observation room. Students are encouraged to observe the children in the classroom setting.
Cincinnati offers Xavier students a variety of student teacher sites. There are five large public Montessori schools and forty private Montessori schools in the tri-state area. Many suburban public schools are adopting Montessori early childhood programs.
All Xavier education students also have access to X-CEED, Xavier's teaching resource lab and professional development workshops through the Xavier University Montessori Institute.
