Curriculum: 9 Credit Hours 

  • MGMT 200: Organizational Behavior (3 Credit Hours): This is a survey course introducing students to the principles of managerial behavior, human resource management and strategic management. Students will learn about relevant theories, concepts and frameworks as well as how to apply them to actual business situations
  • MGMT 314: Leadership (3 Credit Hours): An analysis of various theories and approaches to leadership emphasizing team building and situational leadership. The course includes skill development, experiential activities, theoretical constructs, and guest speakers who are leaders in a variety of settings.
  • Elective Courses (3 Credit Hours): Choose one of the following courses: 
    • MGMT309 Change Leadership (3 credits): Theory and design of organizational systems, organizational performance, culture, training and development and change processes; course also includes a focus on performance appraisal.
    • MGMT312 Negotiation and Conflict Resolution (3 credit hours): Examination of the theory and practice of negotiation and conflict management in business and other organizational settings. The course utilizes simulations and cases to develop negotiation skills, with an emphasis on distributive and integrative techniques, and an understanding of the negotiation process and strategies.
    • MGMT325: International Management (3 credits): The purpose of this course is to create a framework for understanding competitive positioning of organizations, human resource and cultural issues related to international management. Lectures and country projects, discussion group projects, and guest speaker visits.
