Scholarships
Various scholarship opportunities exist for current full-time undergraduate students at Xavier. Students with Tuition Exchange, FACHEX, Tuition Remission, or any combination of tuition-restricted aid that totals the cost of tuition may be ineligible for additional Xavier scholarships.

Financial Aid Scholarships
These scholarships are based on financial need and require a FAFSA form for consideration.
Albert J. Bischoff
- Amount: Up to $3,000
- Number Awarded: Up to Six
- Scholarship Criteria: Minimum 2.5 CGPA to apply. Awarded to a full-time sophomore, junior or senior with demonstrated financial need; must file the 2025-26 FAFSA form. Exceptional student conduct/activities required.
- Apply for Albert J. Bischoff Scholarship.
- Deadline: May 1; student selected by end of June.
HAB Financial Aid Scholarship
- Amount: Up to $5,000
- Number Awarded: Varies
- Scholarship Criteria: Minimum 3.0 CGPA to apply. Awarded to students in the Philosophy, Politics, and the Public (PPP) Honors Program with demonstrated financial need; must file the 2025-26 FAFSA form.
- Apply for HAB Financial Aid Scholarship.
- Deadline: May 1; student selected by end of June.
Fathers James Hoff and Michael Lavelle
- Amount: Up to $4,000
- Number Awarded: Two
- Scholarship Criteria: Minimum 3.2 CGPA to apply. Awarded to a full-time undergraduate with financial need; must file the 2025-26 FAFSA form. Scholarship also based on academic accomplishments and involvement on campus.

John L. Muething
- Amount: Varies
- Number Awarded: Several
- Scholarship Criteria: Minimum 3.0 CGPA to apply. Awarded to a full-time undergraduate with financial need; must file the 2025-26 FAFSA form.

Lt. Robert Rice
- Amount: Up to $6,000
- Number Awarded: One
- Scholarship Criteria: Awarded to a full-time undergraduate student with a minimum 3.0 CGPA and demonstrated financial need; must file the 2025-26 FAFSA form.

Schiff Family Foundation Scholarship
- Amount: Varies
- Number Awarded: Multiple
- Scholarship Criteria: Awarded to a full-time undergraduate student from the greater Cincinnati area with demonstrated financial need; must file the 2025-26 FAFSA form.

Kenneth and Carol Stecher Scholarship
- Amount: $2,000
- Number Awarded: One
- Scholarship Criteria: Awarded to a full-time undergraduate student with demonstrated financial need. Must file the 2025-26 FAFSA form.

- Deadline: May 1; student selected by end of June.
Wild Family Scholarship
- Amount: Up to $5,000
- Number Awarded: Varies
- Scholarship Criteria: Awarded to students in the College of Arts and Sciences who have completed at least 24 credit hours at Xavier and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Students must file the 2025-26 FAFSA form, as demonstrated financial need is a consideration for this award.

William J. Williams Family Scholarship
- Amount: Up to $5,000
- Number Awarded: Varies
- Scholarship Criteria: Awarded to students in the Williams College of Business who have completed at least 24 credit hours at Xavier and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Students must file the 2025-26 FAFSA form, as demonstrated financial need is a consideration for this award.

Women of Excellence
- Amount: Up to $5,000
- Number Awarded: Two
- Scholarship Criteria: Awarded to female student - incoming, current, undergrad or grad, full or part-time, who has a demonstrated interest or involvement in women's causes, demonstrated leadership, and demonstrated service. Recipient is expected to be involved in WOX activities. Students must file the 2025-26 FAFSA form.
- Minimum CGPA is 2.75 first year and sophomore students; 3.0 junior and senior students.
- Apply for Women of Excellence Scholarship.
- Deadline: May 1; student selected by end of June.
Special Scholarships
HUB International Scholarship (formerly Horan Free Throw Scholarship)
- Amount: $2,500
- Number Awarded: Three
- Scholarship Criteria: Employee of a current client of HUB or the spouse or dependent of an employee of a current client of HUB; enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student at Xavier University (excludes ABSN, APEX, and graduate programs), having completed at least one semester; and submitted the 2025-26 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form available at fafsa.gov.
- Xavier employees and their dependents who are receiving tuition remission are not eligible for the HUB scholarship.
- Apply for HUB International Scholarship.
- Deadline: April 4, 2025.
Antonio Johnson
- Amount: Covers tuition, fees, and on-campus housing & meal plan
- Number Awarded: One
- Scholarship Criteria: Awarded to a student who is currently a junior, has a cumulative 3.0 GPA or higher, has made contributions to the African, African American, or Black community on and off campus, and embodies the Jesuit value of Cura Personalis.

Paul L. O'Connor, S.J.
- Amount: $4,500
- Number Awarded: One
- Scholarship Criteria: Awarded to a Xavier student who will be a senior in the 2025-26 academic year. The O’Connor Scholarship is awarded in recognition of outstanding academic and extracurricular achievement and contribution to Xavier. Students must request a nomination for this scholarship from the chair of their academic department in January. Students in ABSN or APEX/ADC programs are not eligible to apply. Students who already have full-tuition scholarships or tuition remission also are not eligible.

Thomas G. Savage, S.J.
- Amount: $9,000
- Number Awarded: Two
- Scholarship Criteria: Awarded to a Xavier student who will be a junior or senior in the 2025-26 academic year. The Savage Scholarship is awarded in recognition of commitment to, and excellence in, the humanities. Students must request a nomination for this scholarship from the chair of their academic department in January. Students in ABSN or APEX/ADC programs are not eligible to apply. Students who already have full-tuition scholarships or tuition remission also are not eligible.

Sustainability
- Amount: Up to $5,000
- Scholarship Criteria: Awarded to a full-time sophomore, junior or senior as Sustainability Student intern position on Sustainability Committee. Tuition restricted. Renewable.

Benjamin D. Urmston Family Peace Studies
