Student Emergency Funds
The Student Emergency Fund provides limited emergency financial assistance to currently enrolled Xavier University students who are unable to meet immediate, essential expenses because of temporary hardship related to an unexpected situation. The fund is designated to offset a short-term financial need and is not intended to replace or supplement financial aid. Funds are awarded as a grant, and unlike a loan, do not need to be repaid. Funds may count as income and may be subject to federal and/or state taxes.
For more information about the Student Emergency Fund, review this information page or contact the Division of Student Affairs at (513) 745-3202 or in the Gallagher Student Center, Suite 300.
To request Student Emergency Funds, complete the application form.
Supplemental documentation is required for application submission and should be relevant to the emergency and request for funding. Please see below for examples of documentation which the application review committee find helpful to include based on the emergency:
- Car Service Bill
- Accident Report
- Eviction Notice
- Emergency Room Visit
- Medical Bill
- Utility Bill
- Lease Agreement
