Biology Majors and Minors
Every Xavier biology student meets at least twice a year with their faculty advisor. Advisors help with many things. We help to set new class schedules for each student each semester to ensure that graduation is possible within four years. We also help students plan for their future careers by guiding them towards appropriate summer opportunities, job shadowing experiences, and internships. Most importantly, advising meetings provide time for development of personal relationships between faculty and students that make it clear to students that they are surrounded by a community that wants them to succeed.
