Events
Williams College of Business events bring top-level business, academic and political leaders to campus to discuss world issues, introduce new ideas, generate discussion, and further the educational mission of the college. Additionally, students, faculty, alumni, and members of the community have the opportunity to interact with the speaker at each event. Attendance is typically free; however, seating is limited and an RSVP is required.
The events offer topics, panel discussions, and presentations by prominent leaders designed to educate, enlighten and inspire. Past distinguished speakers have included: ‘Moneyball’ baseball sabermetrics creator Bill James, journalist Bill Hemmer, former Olympus president Michael Woodford, Procter and Gamble president and chief executive officer Bob McDonald, the Kroger Company’s chairman David Dillon and CEO and Charles Geschke, co-founder of Adobe Systems.

Center for Women in Business and Leadership
Each spring the Center for Women in Business and Leadership brings together prominent women business leaders and local high school women for an engaging panel discussion and small group conversations. The panel is followed by a keynote presentation and luncheon by a notable woman business leader and is open to Xavier faculty, staff, and students as well as alumni and community members.
Heroes of Professional Ethics Series
The Heroes of Professional Ethics Series is an annual event that celebrates the importance of ethics in the workplace. The event is sponsored by Jerry and Janet Belle, the Cintas Corporation and Xavier University. Each year, the event's sponsors will present a keynote speaker with a unique perspective or experience relevant to ethics in the work environment.Stephen S. Smith Center Speakers
The Smith Center supports and promotes debate and dialogue. The Center hosts speaker forums, symposiums, and roundtable discussions to engage both the Xavier University community and the public in an objective examination of economic and social issues impacting society.
Matthew McCormick Investment Symposium and Economic Outlook
Xavier University’s Matthew McCormick Cincinnati Investment Symposium and Economic Outlook brings regional leaders in economics, financial planning and innovation together to discuss economic growth and development opportunities.
The Matthew McCormick Investment Symposium began as a way to foster connections among Xavier students and the Greater Cincinnati financial community. The event has grown considerably since – still retaining its original purpose while extending its reach to become a regional summit for discourse on money management, financial planning and economics.
