Jessica Pitcairn
Jessica has been designing costumes for Xavier Theatre since 2017. Some of her favorite designs at XU are Mr. Burns: a post electric play, Heathers the Musical, and Lizzie.
Jessica was born and raised in Cincinnati, but moved away after high school. Before moving back in 2016, she spent nearly a decade in New York City working as a Costume Coordinator, Assistant Costume Designer, and Costume Designer in television, film, and theatre. Television credits include: Law & Order, Fringe, Unforgettable, Blue Bloods, and The Slap. Film credits include: Eat Pray Love, Taking Woodstock, The Private Lives of Pippa Lee. Jessica has been the assistant costume designer for productions at Manhattan Theatre Club, Lincoln Center Theatre, and McCarter Theatre. Locally, Jessica has designed for The Cincinnati Ballet, Cincinnati Shakespeare Company, The Know Theatre, and The Human Race Theatre Company.
Jessica graduated Magna Cum Laude from Denison University with a BFA in Theatre Design & Technology, holds an MFA in Theatrical Design from Brandeis University, and attended the Xavier Lab School. Outside of theatre, Jessica is married and is a mom to 4 cats and a human. She loves gymnastics, Disney, is a Bengals fan, and is passionate about environmental sustainability. She recently received a certificate in Human Resources from Cornell University.
