Meet your Production Team!
Olivia Burklow
Spotlight Operator. Musical Theatre 2028. Olivia is beyond excited to be apart of this transformative experience that is Jesus Christ Superstar. This will be her first Xavier Theatre production and couldn’t be more excited. Olviai is involved with the Toolbox Improv Group and will be performing in The Choreographer’s Workshop in November. She would like to thank Joe Beumer and the rest of the production team for showing her the ropes on the tech side of a production. She feels that the hard work put into this show has been truly inspiring and it’s definitely not one to miss! She hopes you enjoy the show as much as she has!Matthew Callas

Mary Magdalene, Mob. Musical Theatre 2025. Mattie (she/her) has loved every moment of performing in Jesus Christ Superstar! Previous Xavier Theatre credits include Mamma Mia (Sophie), A Doll’s House, Part 2 (Emmy), Something Rotten! (Ensemble), LIZZIE The Musical (Lizzie), Love and Information (As Cast), and The Moors (Huldey). Post-graduation, she plans to stay in Cincinnati or return to the Chicagoland area. She is incredibly grateful to everyone who has contributed to this process, as well as her family for supporting her throughout her collegiate education, and everyone who has made the trek to Cincinnati these past four years for her.Owen Clark

Dance Captain, Apostle, Temple Seller, Leper, Herod Dancer, Angel. Musical Theatre 2025. Kate is a senior Musical Theatre major and Arts Administration minor from Downers Grove, Illinois. At Xavier, she has been in Mamma Mia, Macbeth, Something Rotten, Lizzie, The Sound of Music, and The Prom! She has also been involved with costumes, lighting, and run crew. Just a few of her favorite shows she has previously done include The Prom (Dee Dee Allen), The Sound of Music (Mother Abbess), Mary Poppins (Mary Poppins), All Shook Up (Natalie Haller), and Lizzie (Assistant Director). She is currently preparing to prop design for Xavier Theatre’s Student Showcase production of No Exit. This will be her third show with Xavier Theatre, having been in The Sound of Music (Nun/Fräulein Schweiger) and John Proctor is the Villain (Ensemble/U.S. Nell). She has sound designed for Non-Player Character. Favorite roles include Hotbox Dancer in Guys and Dolls (Pickerington Community Theatre), Ella in The Foreigner (Pickerington Community Theatre), and Mrs. Bumbrake in Peter and The Starcatcher (Bishop Hartley High School). In November, she will be the Set Designer for the world premiere of Janitor’s Closet in the Student Showcase! Technical roles include the Choreographers’ Workshop (Co-Light Designer), Love and Information (Props Designer), Something Rotten (Spotlight Operator), Measure for Measure (Run Crew) and Co-Light Design Janitor’s Closet and the Choreographers’ Workshop (Nov. '24). Ben is a member of Toolbox Improv Troupe and is employed in the Scene Shop at Xavier.

Priest. Theatre, 2027. JJ (they/them) is thrilled to be in the first production of Xavier Theatre’s 24/25 season, Jesus Christ Superstar! Although they have been in many musicals before, this is their first-ever completely sung-thru musical. This is JJ’s third Xavier Theatre show. Before her time here, she did shows with Theatre Under The Stars in Houston, including Sweeney Todd (Teen Ensemble) and Les Misérables (Prostitute #1, Texas All State Musical). Stage Manager. Theatre Education, 2025. Reece is absolutely ecstatic to be stage managing his first ever musical for Xavier Theatre. This will be Reece's twelfth show with the Xavier Theatre program and for many of those shows he has served as a member of the stage management team in some capacity. After Jesus Christ Superstar closes, Reece will continue to work on Janitor's Closet the world premiere of his first play which will be produced in November as part of Xavier's Student Showcase. Audio 2, Costume Crew. Musical Theatre 2027. Gracie grew up in Fishers, IN and is now a sophomore Musical Theatre major at Xavier University with minors in Public Relations and Management. This is her fourth production at Xavier and her first tech role. You have previously seen has her on stage in The Sound of Music, The Choreographers’ Workshop, and The Prom. Gracie's love for dance has allowed her to take on multiple choreography roles in the past, and she will be choreographing for The Choreographers’ Workshop later this Fall. She has previously appeared as Moor-hen (The Moors) and Student/Shelby u/s (John Proctor is the Villain). Outside of Xavier, some of her favorite roles include Alice (Titanic), Herb (Godspell), and Jo (Little Women). When she is not on stage or in rehearsal, she likes to play board games and collect Carebear merch. Caiaphas, Dance Captain. Musical Theatre 2025. This is Tierra’s 12th production with Xavier Theatre and her eighth onstage role. In addition to a B.A. in Musical Theatre she is earning minors in Digital Media and Writing. Post-grad Tierra plans to stay in Cincinnati and work professionally and she hopes to eventually move to New York. Jesus Christ Superstar has been one of the most rewarding processes she’s been a part of. Tierra has learned so much about herself as an artist and has enjoyed watching each of her castmates grow! Fly Rail Crew. Musical Theatre 2027. Kyra is a sophomore at Xavier University from Cincinnati, Ohio. It is her fourth production at Xavier, and second production on crew. Last year, Kyra was seen on stage in The Sound of Music and in The Choreographer's Workshop as a dancer. Behind the scenes, Kyra worked as a spot-light operator on The Prom. In November, Kyra will choreograph for Xavier Theatre's, The Choreographer's Workshop, a student-organized dance concert. Mob, Ensemble. Theatre 2027. Julianne is excited to be in her second year studying theatre at Xavier University. From the Chicago area, Julianne started performing in community theatre productions at the age of eight, but her desire to major in theatre only began to manifest itself when she participated in her middle school’s production of Newsies. In addition to Jesus Christ Superstar, she has been involved in Xavier Theatre’s productions of Love and Information, Non-Player Character, and The Prom, either as a cast member or working behind the scenes. Brianna was a dancer in the 2023 production of The Choreographers Workshop. This semester she is a choreographer in the 2024 Choreographers Workshop. Her most recent shows include Rent with CAST, Alice by Heart with Anderson Theatre, and The Mousetrap with Anderson Theatre. Joe has designed scenery and/or lighting for over 30 productions at Xavier University. Music Director, Conductor. Dr. Buzza has had an international performing career that includes solo appearances in Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland and Venezuela. He has been principal violist of orchestras in Tokyo and Barcelona and his solo recitals have been broadcast on Radio France, PBS, Radio Amsterdam, Tokyo NHK and Radio Catalunya. He is visiting professor of musicology at the University of Kentucky, focusing on 18th-century Sacred Music and 20th-century American Musical Theatre. Buzza is director of the Kentucky Institute of International Studies in Salzburg, Austria, where he taught since 2009.Aiden Dalton
Assistant Director. Aiden is a native Cincinnatian and professional theatre artist. They attended Xavier University, receiving their B.A. in Theatre with a Writing minor. After graduating they continued their training with the Professional Acting Apprentice program at Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati (ETC). Since then Aiden has worked professionally at companies like ETC, American Legacy Theatre, South Bank Shakes, as well as directing and acting in independent work with Cincinnati Fringe and more. Aiden is excited to now serve as the Theatrical Director for The Ghostlight Stage Company.Logan Herrera
Drums. Logan is a current student at Xavier University finishing his senior year of his Music Production & DIFT double major. He is Florida raised but is sticking around in Cincinnati to pursue a career in Film, Television & Music. His love of musicals started in high school and he has been drumming in as many shows as he could since.Emma Hunt
Assistant Director. Emma graduated from Xavier in 2023 where she majored in Musical Theatre and minored in Digital Media. You may have seen her in shows such as American Idiot, Once, Something Rotten, Lizzie, and more! After graduating, Emma worked with Anderson High School's theatre program as music director and technical director of props and set decoration. Emma is so excited to be back at Xavier helping with this show. Emma thanks her family, roommates, friends, and boneless chuck for the constant support. Bass. Jason is in his final year of studies at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. He is very excited to be a part of the Xavier Theatre music team! He has studied both the double bass and the electric bass for 12 years. Despite most of his training being classical, Jason has found his passion playing in pit orchestras. He has performed across the East Coast and parts of the Midwest. Some of his favorite pit projects include West Side Story, Once On This Island, Rent, and a performance of the works of Steven Flaherty at Carnegie Hall.Katie Noth
A-1/Sound Mixer. Katie is a recent graduate of Xavier and participated in many shows during her time here. A few notable roles of hers include Assistant technical director of the Student Showcase Series in 2024 and mix engineer and assistant scenic designer for 9 to 5. Costume Designer. Jessica has designed costumes for Xavier Theatre since 2017. Favorite XUT designs include: Mr. Burns: a post electric play, Heathers the Musical, and Lizzie.Jessica was born and raised in Cincinnati, and spent nearly a decade in New York City working in television, film, and theatre. Television credits: Law & Order, Fringe, Unforgettable, Blue Bloods, and The Slap. Film credits: Eat Pray Love, Taking Woodstock, The Private Lives of Pippa Lee. Theatre credits: Manhattan Theatre Club, Lincoln Center Theatre, and McCarter Theatre. Guitar. Tony is excited to be playing guitar (electric/acoustic) again for Xavier Theatre! He plays guitar for various community and university theaters around Cincinnati as well as for his church in Milford. Production Electrician. Alec to Xavier University for the 24-25 season and Jesus Christ Superstar after graduating from Xaiver Theatre in 2023. Alec is thrilled to be back working with the people he loves. Jesus Christ Superstar is the 6th show Alec has worked on at Xavier since graduating. Outside of Xavier, Alec is a freelance lighting technician, working with theatres like Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park and Ensemble Theatre! He also works for 3CDC, putting on events around downtown Cincinnati at Fountain Square, Washington Park, and Memorial Hall. He is currently Production Electrician for St. Xavier High School and their production of You Can't Take It With You.Kelsey Schwarber
Assistant Director. Kelsey is Cincinnati-based teaching artist, performer, and proud alumni of Xavier Theatre ‘21. Recent credits include White Christmas (Rhoda), Boeing Boeing (Gloria), and The Last Witch of Ireland (Bridget Cleary). Some of her favorite Xavier credits include Chicago (Roxie Hart), One (Emily), Urinetown (Little Sally), and mr. burns; a post electric play (Maria). When she is not onstage you can find her as the Theatre Director at Saint Ursula Academy where she teaches grades 9-12 and directs the three Mainstage productions annually. Sound Designer (he/him/his) Jason has been working freelance in live performance for over 25 years. He lived in New York for 10 years after graduating from CCM and worked in venues such as St. Ann’s Warehouse, P.S. 122, Dance Theater Workshop (NYLA) and The Chocolate Factory. He is currently the sound engineer for theater company Elevator Repair Service, working on The Select, Gatz, Arguendo, Measure for Measure, Baldwin and Buckley at Cambridge, The Seagull, and most recently Ulysses. For Xavier he has designed 9-5, The Sound of Music, The Prom, and Jesus Christ Superstar.Tyler Secor
Keyboard 2. Tyler is a native of Warsaw, IN and holds a M.A. degree in Music Theory from the University of Oregon, a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Theory and Composition and Piano Performance from Manchester University (formerly Manchester College, North Manchester, IN) and a Bachelor of Social Work from Loyola University of Chicago. Tyler currently serves as the Director of Publications & Content Development at the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. Tyler specializes in collaborative work with vocalists, choirs and musical theatre, and served for seven season as the pianist and assistant director of the Indianapolis Women’s Chorus.Jenna Treinen
Choreographer. (She/her). Jenna is a Xavier University alumni, with a B.A. in Musical Theatre. She is a current jazz, tap, and musical theatre instructor at Beyond the Barre and a local actor and choreographer. she enjoys sharing her time between the stage and the classroom, and is thrilled to be inspiring young performers just as she was inspired by her own instructors. She has a deep passion for speaking through movement and creating a comfortable and enthusiastic room, where everyone can find a judgment-free space to develop technique and new skills, as well as just have fun exploring the joy of dancing as a community.Check Us Out!
