SWAG Peer Educators
Meet the Peer Educators for the 2024-2025 Academic Year

Same (he/him) is a junior PPP and Econ major. This is his first year as a SWAG Peer Educator. Sam serves as a peer educator because college is difficult, and knowing how to best take care of your mind and body is the first step in doing anything well.

Atalie (she/her) is a senior Social Work major from Loveland, Ohio. This is her second year as a SWAG Peer Educator. Atalie is a peer educator because she loves connecting with other students who share her passion for advocacy and wellbeing! She loves challenging herself and others to dive deeper into issues that may be stigmatized within our community, working to make our campus a safer place.

Elizabeth (she/her) is a junior psychology and management major from Barrington, Illinois. This is her first year as a SWAG Peer Educator. Elizabeth serves as a peer educator because she thinks it is essential to incorporate wellness into our everyday lives, in both big and small ways. She loves collaborating with her peers to help make prioritizing wellbeing easier on campus, because we all deserve to take the time to care for ourselves, and for each other.

Gabby (she/her) is a senior Montessori Education major from Cincinnati, Ohio. This is her second year as a SWAG Peer Educator. Gabby serves as a peer educator because she thinks that Xavier has some amazing resources that are not always taken advantage of by students. Many people on this campus are here for you and care for students and want to help. She hopes to guide students, especially minority students, to all of the resources Xavier has to offer. So many of them help the mind, body, and soul which is incredibly important to care for all of these, specifically in college.

Maia (she/her) is a second year OT doctoral student from Indianapolis, Indiana. This is her first year as a SWAG Peer Educator. Maia serves as a peer educator because find great value in increasing peer support on college campuses. College can be an alienating space for students from their families, and she thinks finding solace in those who are also going through similar life experiences can create truly strong bonds. Being a Latina graduate student, she also finds great pride in creating space for Latinx students to express themselves. She hopes to be a peer that students can turn to when needing support on campus.

Michele (she/her) is a sophomore biomedical sciences major from Columbus, Ohio. This is her first year as a SWAG Peer Educator. Michele serves as a peer educator because she feels called to help students and our campus in any aspect she can. Being able to use her passion to connect with others and see how it can impact the student and herself in the process is a feeling she cannot explain!

Ellie (she/her) is a junior psychology major from Cedarburg, Wisconsin. This is her first year as a SWAG Peer Educator. Ellie serves as a peer educator because she believes that understanding how to feel our best is a journey deserving of positive and supportive communities. She is passionate about destigmatizing mental health, creating spaces of acceptance and understanding on campus, and meeting one another where we are at along the journey.

Emma (she/her) is a junior Biology major from Lima, Ohio. This is her first year as a SWAG Peer Educator. Emma serves as a peer educator because she loves overall wellness and trying to become the best version of herself while helping others do the same.

Al (she/her) is a second year Doctorate of Occupational Therapy student from Columbus, Ohio. Al serves as the graduate coordinator for SWAG because she wants to build her understanding of taking care of the whole person and to learn how to emphasize the dimensions of wellbeing in her future career as an occupational therapist.
