Summer Programs

Bridge Program for Students with Disabilities

A six-week residential Summer Bridge program designed for admitted students with disabilities who will take the same 3-credit hour course. Taking a 3-hour course will allow students to take twelve credit hours during their first fall semester on campus allowing them to continue to more easily adjust academically, socially and emotionally. The program will focus on effectively accessing and utilizing disability-related accommodations; academic skill development; independent living skill development; social skill development and an introduction to campus resources. Equipping students with the tools and resources necessary for academic and social success will facilitate a smoother transition to college life and thus increase retention.
