Social Work Students
There are several important steps and guidelines to consider as you enter into the Field Education program. First, see the step by step process; second complete your Application to Field Placement and hand that into the Field Director, and last print, read, and sign the signature page of the field manual.
Once you have completed your application, signed the field manual signature page, and completed your resume, hand all that paperwork into the Field Director. Once you have been approved, you will be entered into the Blackboard Field Education course.
You are also required to attend the mandatory Field Education Orientation training, see field director for date and time.
STEP-BY-STEP PROCESS
In order to begin the process of securing your field site for your senior year you must be/ have:
- a Social Work major
- in your Junior year- in good academic standing (see student handbook)
- fully accepted into the department via the petition process (see student handbook for petition process)
- completed the Application for Field and handed it in to the Field Director
- printed, read and signed signature page of the Field Manual and handed that in to the Field Director
- completed a reume and handed that in to the Field Director
