MIDAS Information Session
The College of Nursing would like to invite you to a Question and Answer Information session regarding the Accelerated, Direct Entry, Second Degree, Pre-Licensure MSN MIDAS program.
The MSN MIDAS program is a pre-licensure nursing program that was created for those who have earned a Bachelor degree in a major other than nursing who wish to become a registered nurse. The sessions will provide an opportunity for you to meet with the Director of the MSN MIDAS program and other Faculty and Staff members to ask questions that you may have regarding the program.

Xavier's graduate nursing (MSN) programs have been open to BSN prepared registered nurses since 2005 and prepares graduates to be holistic healers and leaders in the delivery of health care with an educational foundation grounded in Jesuit ethics and value. Our graduate nursing programs are for nurses who not only want to serve - they want to lead.
Master's Programs
MSN Programs - Online
Xavier's 100% online Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program is designed for registered nurses looking to grow as a nurse leader or move into a managerial, educational or consultative role.
Registered nurses may specialize their MSN in education, family nurse practitioner, forensics or psychiatric/mental health.
Accelerated Second Degree Direct Entry MSN Program (MIDAS) - On Campus
The MIDAS program is designed for individuals with a bachelor's degree in another field who wish to prepare for a career as a registered nurse (RN). This in-person, 20-month program is a full-time program for mature, goal-directed individuals who, upon completion of the program, is awarded an MSN degree and is eligible to sit for the National Council Licensing Exam-Registered Nurse (NCLEX-RN).
MSN/MS (Criminal Justice major) Dual Degree - Online
Recognizing the increasing demand for nurses and criminal justice professionals with overlapping skills, Xavier University offers a unique online dual degree program that integrates 2 advanced degree programs. Students would be awarded a Master of Science in Nursing - Forensic Track degree and a Master of Science (Criminal Justice major) degree.
Doctoral Programs
Doctor of Nursing Practice in Population Health Leadership (DNP) - Online
The Doctor of Nursing Practice in Population Health Leadership (DNP) degree program is a population health-focused post-master’s degree program. Applicants must have a MSN from a CCNE or ACEN (formerly NLNAC) accredited school, or a Master's in a field other than nursing. Candidates with a Master's in a field other than nursing are required to have a BSN from a CCNE, ACEN or regionally accredited institution.
Certificates
Post-Master's - Online
Xavier offers post-master’s certificates in family nurse practitioner (FNP), education and psychiatric/mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) 100% online and are available for registered nurses who have already obtained an MSN or higher.
