Spenser Ford says if it weren’t for scholarships from Annual Fund donations, she would have never been able to stay at Xavier for four years. Now, the senior Communications and Public Relations major from Detroit has become a leader on campus, serving as the Enrichment Committee Chair for Interfaith Community Engagement and the vice president for Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.
"To be completely honest, I come from a single parent household and I do not think I would have been able to stay at Xavier all four years without the help of my scholarship. My experience has been unimaginable. I have developed lifelong relationships, I have grown into the woman I knew I could be. I want to thank our Xavier family for their gifts — I had the opportunity to not just attend college, but to attend a place like Xavier. Their generous contributions have impacted my life in so many ways. I truly would not be where I am without it."
