Manresa Overnight - What You Need to Know

Welcome new colleagues!

As the academic year gets into full swing, we hope that your transition to Xavier is going smoothly for each of you.

We have 40 experienced Xavier faculty, staff, and administrators preparing a memorable event for you. The Transfiguration Spirituality Center has lovely grounds that will provide the setting for this relaxed 24 hours of discussion and reflection on Xavier's mission. 

  • Please arrive on Friday between 3:15-3:45 p.m. The program begins on Friday at 4:00 p.m. and will conclude on Saturday at 4:00 p.m.
  • Parking: Please park in the Bethany Activity Center parking lot at: 370 Oak Road, Glendale, Ohio, 45246 (Travel time between the XU campus and the retreat center is about 25 minutes depending on traffic.)

With regards to accommodations, each participant will have a private room with a bed, sink, mirror and desk. Bed linen, towels and sheets are provided. Some rooms will have a private bath. However, many rooms will share restrooms and showers by gender. A bathrobe or some sweats come in handy for walking down the hall to the restrooms/showers at night. Please bring your own toiletries.

Dress is casual, please be comfortable.

Please bring a refillable water bottle.

Regarding food allergies: If you have a food allergy, please be sure to talk with me as soon as possible so that we can determine how best to support you.
