Holly Schapker

Holly Schapker, a Cincinnati artist, graduated Magna Cum Laude from Xavier University in 1992 with a bachelor's degree in painting. For ten years, she continued her education by studying under Frank McElwain and Michael Scott, whose influences and creative processes have a strong focus on plein air paintings. She has taught Beginning, Advanced, and Thesis Painting at Xavier. Read more on- and see her professional work.

Tom Worcester, SJ

Tom Worcester is a professor of history at the College of the Holy Cross. He is a specialist in the religious and cultural history of early modern France and Italy, the papacy, and Jesuit history. Editor of The Cambridge Companion to the Jesuits (Cambridge University Press, 2008), he is also co-editor of four books, including, most recently, The Papacy since 1500: From Italian Prince to Universal Pastor with James Corkery (Cambridge University Press, 2010). Laurie Ann Britt-Smith, Ph.D.

Laurie Ann Britt-Smith, Ph.D is an associate professor of English and Director of the Writing Program at the University Detroit-Mercy. Her interests include the intersections of cultural identity and language, and social justice rhetoric and its uses in the composition classroom. She received her B.A. in English with an emphasis in secondary education at Michigan State University, her M.A. in Literature at Western Michigan University, and her Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Composition at Saint Louis University.

Daniel Hendrickson, SJ

Daniel Hendrickson, S.J., Ph.D. is an associate provost in the Office of the Provost at Marquette University and a member of the Board of Trustees at Boston College, Creighton University, and Xavier University. He is also the co-director of the Burke Scholars service engagement program, the Title IX Coordinator, and a member of the national committee for Justice in Jesuit Higher Education. He entered the Jesuits in 1994, was ordained a priest in 2006, and received his doctorate from the Philosophy and Education program at Columbia University in 2012.
