Reading Endorsement State Application Instructions

The following items are required at Xavier University to apply for State of Ohio, Reading Endorsement. If you did not complete your Reading Endorsement Program through Xavier University, stop and contact the university where you completed your Reading Endorsement Program.

You MUST hold a current, valid Ohio teaching license.

XAVIER UNIVERSITY'S IRN# 064030 (You will need this # for the Signature section when searching for the organization.)

 

Apply for Reading K-12 ENDORSEMENT

Once all coursework and OAEs (as applicable) required for endorsement program are complete, see instructions below to add endorsement to a standard resident educator or professional teaching license.

• To apply online: Use a Visa or MasterCard for payment ($20.00).

• Apply for endorsement at: https://ohid.ohio.gov/wps/portal/gov/ohid/

• Log into OH|ID account.

• Select “Educator Licensure and Records (CORE)” app.

• Verify your information under “My Profile” is up to date. After saving any necessary edits, click

“return to page,” then “Go back to Dashboard.”

• Under “My Credentials” select the “Action” button on the row which contains the standard

resident educator or professional teaching license the endorsement will be added.

• Select “Add Area” from dropdown box.

• Select “Apply”.

• Complete the application indicating Xavier University as the education provider, and submit

the application.
