Prof. Kathleen Smythe received her B.A. from The College of Wooster and her PhD from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. A professor of history at Xavier University, she is also Senior Administrative Fellow for Sustainability and the Environmental Imagination. She is the author of Fipa Families: Reproduction and Catholic Evangelization in Nkansi, Ufipa, 1880-1960 (Praeger, 2006).
