Recruiting and Hiring for Inclusive Excellence
The Recruiting and Hiring for Inclusive Excellence Training was designed to create a more transparent, fair and equitable hiring process. There are now two trainings that all search committees complete before starting any new searches; Recruiting and Hiring for Inclusive Excellence and SilkRoad.
Recruiting and Hiring for Inclusive Excellence Training: The Recruiting and Hiring for Inclusive Excellence training supports the Diversity and Inclusion Strategic Plan and will provide a thorough understanding of bias that may impact decision-making and resources that help support a consistent and equitable search process. The training is an on-line, three-module course that takes approximately two hours to complete. It also introduces the new role of Equity Advisor in the search process. The Equity Advisor is a member of the search committee responsible for ensuring that equitable and, most importantly, inclusive practices will be used in all aspects of the recruiting and hiring process. This individual will facilitate dialogue of search committee members as they complete the Training and document all members have completed it.
SilkRoad Recruiting Training: SilkRoad Recruiting applicant tracking software provides an efficient and consistent solution to managing Xavier's recruitment and selection process. It also enhances the University's employment brand and supports sustainability.
