Employee Assistance Programs (EAP)

Xavier provides access to three Employee Assistance Programs (EAP). An EAP provides voluntary, confidential services and resources at no cost to employees and their household members. The EAPs are available 24/7 and include services such as:

• Counseling
• Legal Consultation
• Financial Consultation
• ID Recovery
• Daily living and dependent care resources
• Crisis Consultation

TriHealth EAP

New for 2024 is the TriHealth EAP. Employees, their spouses, and their dependents are eligible for up to 5 free, confidential counseling sessions per issue with a licensed counselor.

TriHealth has recorded a brief, ten-minute EAP Orientation to review the services available.

Employees and their families also have access to:

• Ask-A-Counselor - submit a question online and receive a confidential, encrypted answer within two business days
• Request-A-Counselor - through encrypted email, request the name and contact information of a counselor who can provide counseling through the EAP benefit
• TriHealth EAP Work-Life Services
  • Collection of articles and links on multiple topics related to health and wellbeing
  • Financial Assist - free, 30-minute session with a financial professional to assist with debt management, credit report issues, bankruptcy prevention and more
  • Legal Assist - referrals to local attorneys for free, 30-minute consultations with a 25% discount if attorney is hired
• Excelling at Work and Life Series - webinars on a variety of topics available at no cost to employees and their immediate family members

Anthem EAP

Employees, their spouses, and their dependents are eligible for up to 3 free, confidential counseling sessions per issue with a licensed counselor.

Employees and their families have access to:

• Telephone Consultations
• Face-to-face Consultations
• Legal Services 
  • Free, 30-minute session (per separate issue) with a network attorney with a discounted rate available if the attorney is hired
• Financial Services
  • Free, 30-60 minute (per separate issue) telephone consultation to discuss debt and credit management, saving for education and retirement, and life event planning such as buying a home
• ID Theft Protection and Recovery

New York Life EAP

Employees, their spouses, and their dependents are eligible for up to 3 free, confidential counseling sessions per issue with a licensed counselor.

Employees and their families have access to:

• GuidanceResources - resources and tools on topics such as health and wellnes, legal regulations, family and relationships, work and education, money and investments, and home and auto. This includes access to articles, podcasts, videos, slideshows, on-demand trainings and "Ask the Expert" which provides personal responses to your questions
• Well-being Coaching - access to a certified coach who will work with you one-on-one to address health and well-being issues such as burnou, time management and coping with stress. These are conducted telephonically and includes 5 sessions per year
• FinancialConnect - unlimited access to a team of certified financial professionals to help guide you
• LegalConnect - unlimited phone consultations with a staff of attorneys who can provide guidance on issues such as divorce, adoption, estate planning real estate, and ID theft. If needed, you can be referred to a local attorney for a free, 30-minute consultation and 25% discount if attorney is hired
• EstateGuidance - online tool allows you and family members to write a last will and testament, a living will and documents outlining your wishes for final arrangements
