Maria serves as the inaugural Director of Student Wellbeing Services at Xavier University. She joined the Xavier community in Fall 2018 working in the THRIVE Center and transitioned in January 2024 to Student Wellbeing Services. Over the years, Maria has dedicated herself to enhancing the holistic wellbeing of students, ensuring they thrive both academically, personally, and professionally. Her career at higher education began in 2014, and each role she's held has deepened her commitment to student success. Maria’s work has always centered on improving access to support, promoting inclusivity, and fostering a community where students can flourish.
Throughout her career, Maria has proven to be a compassionate leader, always striving to make a meaningful impact in the lives of the students she serves. She draws on her comprehensive academic background, personal experiences, and professional expertise to ensure that every student at Xavier has access to the resources and support they need to succeed.
