Xavier University's Office of the Graduate School, in conjunction with the University Library, is proud to present the Three Minute Thesis ® Competition. The Three Minute Thesis® (3MT®) competition, founded by the University of Queensland, has been adopted by over 900 higher institutions across 85 countries worldwide. This competition challenges graduate students to present their graduate level research and/or academic research projects in a three minute-or-less pitch-style setting in front of an audience while competing for monetary prizes. The challenge of this competition is for students to effectively present their research using language understandable by a non-specialist audience.

This year, the Office of the Graduate School will be offering the following prizes:

• 1st place - $1,000
• 2nd place - $750
• 3rd place - $250
• People's choice award - $250

The priority deadline to register is Wednesday, March 1, 2023. Entries received after that date will be considered if space is available. Preliminary rounds will be held virtually the week of March 13-17, 2023.
