Minor Requirements

The Department of Economics offers the minor in Economics. This minor is available to business and non-business undergraduate students. The minor has proven useful to people who have moved into positions in many of the functional areas of business. A total of 15 credit hours are required, as follows:

  • 6 hours of economics: Take ECON 200 and ECON 201
  • 3 hours: Choose either ECON 305 or ECON 306
  • 6 hours of upper division electives: Select from ECON 300-499 (Except WCB students may not count ECON 300 in the minor)
  • Attain at least a 2.000 cumulative average in the minor courses
  • At least half of these credit hours must be taken at Xavier
