DEI Programming
Diversity, equity, and inclusion is central to the CTE mission. We are committed to delivering programming that supports faculty to meet the needs of a diverse student body and to ensure all students can thrive in the classroom.
Programming
The Diversity and Inclusion Teaching Academy is a robust, two-semester program that provides resources to enhance teaching within a community that prioritizes reflection and intentionality. Full-time ffaculty are invited to participate, generally after their first year on campus.
We also ensure that ongoing programming maintains a focus on issues of diversity and inclusion:
- Book Discussion Groups: at least one group per semester discusses a diversity-related selection
- Faculty Learning Communities: at least one per academic year explores a topic related to diversity in teaching and learning
- Spring semester keynote speakers
- Brownbag discussions and workshops
