Lambda Pi Eta Induction

On Friday, April 12, 2024, eight new members were inducted into Xavier’s chapter of Lambda Pi Eta, the National Communication Association’s official honor society. The society was originally founded in 1985 at the University of Arkansas, and has grown to include more than 500 active chapters at four-year colleges and universities nationwide. The Alpha Gamma Zeta Chapter was chartered at Xavier in 2015.
Lambda Pi Eta recognizes students who are in good standing and have earned a minimum GPA of 3.25 specifically through communication courses, while maintaining an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher upon completion of 60 hours of college credit. The honor society promotes six goals focused on recognizing scholastic achievement, advancing the field of communication, and encouraging professional development and networking.

The April ceremony was led by faculty advisor Dr. Randy Patnode, and the 2023-2024 officers: Izzy Fooks-Michyna, senior communication studies and public relations major; Alanee Wright, senior public relations major; Jimmy Zafiropulos, senior communication studies major; Robbie Dzierzanowski, senior public relations and communication studies major; and Alexa Kreuzer, senior digital innovation, film & television major.

- Benny Klarin, junior, digital innovation, film & television major
- McKenzie Plitzuweit, junior, digital media and public relations major, advertising minor
- Caroline Palermo, senior, communication studies and graphic design major
- Alex Sepulveda, junior, digital innovation, film & television major
- Cece Shauntee, junior, communication studies major
