2018 Ethicist in Residence - Brian Duba (AK Steel)

 

The 2017-2018 Ethicist in Residence was Brian Duba, Corporate Counsel from AK Steel.

"Having the opportunity to immerse myself in the academic side of ethics and compliance is an amazing opportunity. Learning about how world-leading practitioners of ethics and compliance think about their job really enriches my personal approach and thinking on day to day compliance and ethics practice. In addition, my role as the ethicist in residence was exciting and rewarding as I was able to share my experience and thoughts with smart, young professionals just starting to tackle the subject of compliance and ethics in business. I found that simply due to my additional experience I was able to provide useful insight to the students attending the educational events which to me was extremely rewarding. Everything about the trip was fantastic, from the educational opportunities to the sight-seeing to the wonderful people who attended the class.

It was an amazing honor to be chosen and I applaud Professor Fiorelli and Xavier University for offering such a great real-world experience for their students and members of the Business Ethics Institute".
