Devon James
Senior Campus Minister for Catholic Ministry
Devon is from a suburb of Chicago and attended Xavier for her undergraduate degree. After Xavier, she earned her master's degree in Pastoral Ministry from the University of Dayton. Following her studies at UD, Devon moved to Wyoming where she worked as Associate Director and Director of Campus Ministry at St. Paul's Newman Center for the University of Wyoming. There she fell in love with the mountains, hiking, and her cat, Chai, who she adopted while living there. After two years, Devon moved to Connecticut to work at Sacred Heart University as the Campus Minister for Retreats and Events, helping students grow in their faith through retreats, spiritual direction, community-building events, and formation. Devon is very excited to be back at Xavier as a staff member. She works with Catholic Ministry Team, retreats, Companion Groups, and other Catholic ministry programming. Her door is always open to chat with students about faith, school, life, and what brings you joy.
