Events

Career Development presents a number of events throughout the academic year to connect employers with students and alumni for professional development, networking, and promoting job and internship opportunities.

To ensure the health and safety of all participating organizations, students, and alumni, all fall fairs will be virtual events facilitated on the Handshake virtual fair platform.

CAREER FAIRS

Fall Career Fair: Jobs and Internships
Connect with 500+ students and alumni of all majors and class levels to promote internships and full-time, degree-required opportunities.  Graduate schools wishing to promote their programs are also invited to attend. Sponsored by Xavier University Career Development.

Part-Time Jobs Fairs
Connect with students seeking part-time, seasonal, or temporary positions.  Part-Time Jobs Fairs are offered once a semester and is an affordable option for employers. Sponsored by Xavier University Career Development.

Post-Graduate Volunteer Fair
Service agencies are invited to promote their post-graduate year-of-service opportunities to students and alumni of all majors. Sponsored by Xavier University Career Development and the Dorothy Day Center for Faith and Justice.

BIG EAST Virtual Graduate School Fair
Graduate schools are invited to promote their programs to students and alumni from all BIG EAST campuses online. Sponsored by the BIG EAST Career Consortium.

Spring Career Fair: Jobs and Internships
Connect with 500+ students and alumni of all majors and class levels to promote internships and full-time, degree-required opportunities.  Graduate schools wishing to promote their programs are also invited to attend. Sponsored by Xavier University Career Development.

Southwest Ohio/Northern Kentucky Education Career Fair
Employers with full-time, degree-required teaching and counseling opportunities are invited to promote their openings and interview candidates in one event. Sponsored by 6 local colleges and universities including Xavier.

Just-In-Time Career Fair: Jobs and Internships>

NETWORKING EVENTS

Accounting Meet the Firms
Network with undergraduate and graduate students interested in degree-required accounting-related job and internship positions. A collaborative event presented by the Xavier University Accounting Department and Career Development.

Diversity Reception
Networking event connecting students and alumni with employers who embrace and support diversity and allyship in the workplace.

Professional Networking and Etiquette Dinner
Employer sponsors connect with students and share insight about the importance of first impressions, techniques for building your professional network, and how to dine in a professional setting. Includes a formal four-course etiquette dinner and opportunities to connect with students 1:1 and in groups.

BIG EAST Sports, Media, and Entertainment Networking Event
Students and alumni of the BIG EAST Career Consortium campuses are invited to connect with employers from the sports and entertainment industry to discuss their organizations, internships, and full-time job opportunities. This event takes place annually in NYC during the BIG EAST basketball tournament.
