Licensing Policy and Vendors
Only Xavier licensed vendors can sell items bearing a Xavier trademark. All vendors must be officially licensed with CLC. All currently licensed vendors can be found by logging in to the XavierBuy system.
In order to be a Xavier-licensed vendor, vendors must seek and receive membership in the Fair Labor Association and adhere to its code of conduct.
Campus office/departments, student groups and licensed vendors must submit all uses of Xavier trademarks on products for review and approval prior to production. This rule applies even if the proposed uses do not involve the sale of a product; e.g., promotional items for conferences or meetings, items for fundraisers, items for giveaways, gifts, etc.
The purpose of this policy is to provide information and guidelines to the University community regarding the use of Xavier University trademarks. The overall purposes of the licensing program are to protect Xavier University trademarks, promote the University, and ensure that products including University trademarks are produced in a socially compliant manner.
