Notetaking Services
REQUESTING PEER NOTES
This process is for students who have completed the intake process with the Office of Accessibility and Disability Resources and have been approved for the peer notetaking accommodation. If you are not approved for peer notetaking but would like to request it as an accommodation, please contact our office.
- Access AIM
- Use Single Sign On to access your account, if prompted.
- If you encounter an error or your classes/accommodations are not correct, please contact Accessibility and Disability Resources.
- Check boxes for the courses you wish to request notetaking accommodations for.
- Select 'Notetaking Services'.
- Click on the "Submit Your Accommodation Requests" button to finish.
ACCESSING PEER NOTES
- You will receive an email from Accessibility and Disability Resources once a peer notetaker has been assigned to your course.
- Access AIM, using Single Sign On if prompted.
- Navigate to 'Notetaking Services' on the left-hand menu.
- Download your notes.
Each time your notetaker uploads notes to the AIM site, you will receive an email notification. If your notes are insufficient or inadequate, please contact the Office of Accessibility and Disability Resources. If a notetaker cannot be identified after a reasonable amount of time, permission may be granted to audio record lectures.
BECOMING A NOTETAKER
This process is for students who would like to volunteer as a peer notetaker for one of their classmates who has peer notetaking as an approved accommodation through the Office of Aaccessibility and Disability Resources.
- Access the Notetaker Application
- Use Single Sign On to access your account, if prompted.
- Enter your Banner ID.
- Click on 'Notetaker' on the top dashboard.
- Search for your courses by entering the Course Registration Number, and click 'Continue to Verify Your Classes'.
- Read and sign the Notetaker Agreement.
- You will be notified by email when you have been assigned as a notetaker.
- After being assigned as a notetaker, click 'Upload and View Notes' on the left-hand menu. Notes should be uploaded within 24 hours of class.
