Faculty Director for Assessment

Call for Applications

The Provost Office is seeking applications for a Faculty Director for Assessment who will work collaboratively with the Administrative Assessment Group (AAG), Core Curriculum Assessment Committee (CCAC), and Associate Provost for Academic Excellence to lead program assessment efforts for Xavier.

The Faculty Director for Assessment (FDA) will serve as chair of the AAG and co-chair (non-voting) of the CCAC, working with committee members to ensure that assessment reporting is completed each year and to drive continuous improvement in student learning.

The FDA will receive a stipend and teaching load reduction of one course per semester. The Provost Office will fund adjunct faculty or overload pay (for another faculty member) up to the cost of adjunct faculty to cover the release time. It is expected the FDA will not be on overload and release time simultaneously. Applications for the FDA are being accepted through Wednesday, April 23, 2025. Full-time, tenured faculty and senior teaching professors from all disciplines are eligible to apply.
