On behalf of the Veteran and Military Family Center, welcome to Xavier University! My name is Amber Schutte and I am the Associate Director of the Veteran and Military Family Center. In my role, I act as an advisor to our undergraduate students, and certify VA benefits for all students who wish to use their G.I. Bill® or other VA educational benefits at Xavier University.
As you prepare to start your journey at Xavier, I want to share some brief helpful, points with you all.
- If you are unsure about your G.I. Bill® eligibility status, I would highly encourage you to visit www.ebenefits.va.gov or call the GI Bill hotline at 1-888-442-4551
- It is highly recommended that all our students establish a faculty advisor within your respected educational field. Please review the Departmental Advisors list to find your faculty advisor.
- Once you have registered for classes, you will want to fill out our VA Educational Benefits Request Survey. Completing this survey gives us your consent to report your information to the VA, so they can administer payments to the school and to you.
