Grant Details
Below you will find the details related to additional grant opportunities so you have all the information you need.
- Only students who are admitted to Xavier as new, full-time, bachelor's degree-seeking freshmen or transfers for the fall semester are eligible for additional grants. Examples of grant opportunities include but are not limited to: Visit Grant, Housing Grant, Muskie Grant, or Catholic identity grants.
- You can only receive the Visit Grant once for attending XU Preview or another official campus visit with the Office of Admission.
- Grant opportunities can be stacked on top of any merit-based scholarships a student receives and will go toward the cost of tuition or housing (as is indicated by the grant name). The Housing Grant can only be applied toward on-campus housing costs. If a student is not living on campus, the grant will be rescinded. All remaining grants cannot exceed the cost of tuition.
- Study abroad grants are to be used in the semester of student’s study abroad program. Only one study abroad grant can be used per study abroad program regardless of the duration of the program.
- Any of the following financial aid opportunities may replace previously awarded Xavier grants and/or scholarships including, but not limited to, entrance merit scholarships, Muskie Program Grants, Catholic identity scholarships, and study abroad grants. Questions about grant restrictions should be directed to the Office of Student Financial Services.
