Nathalie Towchik, EdD, MS, AT, ATC
Visiting Professor, Athletic Training
Nathalie Towchik is a visiting faculty member for the 24-25 school year. They graduated from Xavier in 2016 with their B.S in Athletic Training. While working as an athletic trainer in a secondary school setting for the past 7 years, she obtained her M.S. in Exercise Science and Health Promotion from California University of Pennsylvania (2018). Her concentration was on Sport Psychology and Rehabilitation Science while at CalU. They obtained their Ed.D in Educational and Professional Practice, with a concentration in Social Justice Leadership from Antioch University in spring of 2024. Her dissertation focus was on the utilization of intentional cultural humility teaching practices in athletic training masters programs. She hopes to continue to work on promoting holistic and patient-centered healthcare approaches that care for the whole person.
Nathalie has been a preceptor for multiple athletic training programs in the area over the past several years, and also an adjunct faculty member at Xavier since 2017. She is an active member in athletic training associations at the local, state, and national levels, and chairs the Greater Cincinnati Athletic Training Association's Young Professionals Committee. Nathalie also takes time to still work on the clinical side when possible, because they believe it is important to continue practicing their skills and caring for athletes in the Cincinnati community.
Nathalie enjoys advocating for the athletic training profession and teaching the next generation of athletic trainers.
