Citizen's Police Academy
Xavier Police Department invites all community members to participate in our Spring '25 Citizen's Police Academy. Classes will be held weekly (Thursdays from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.), beginning January 16. Classes will meet weekly through April 24 with the exception of March 13 (Spring Break). Refreshments will be served at 6:00 p.m. except during weeks with off-site tours. Participants will meet in the Flynn Hall lobby. Classes will take place in the Flynn Hall Large Conference Room.

- Week 2 - Police Standards & Academy / Tools of the Trade
- Week 3 - Search and Seizure / Communications
- Week 4 - Off-site tour: Hamilton County Coroner's office
- Week 5 - Off-site tour: Hamilton County Detention Facility
- Week 6 - Off-site tour: Hamilton County Prosecutor's office
- Week 7 - Patrol
- Week 8 - Crime Scene Investigation / Evidence Collection / Property Room Management
- Week 9 - Use of Force / Defensive Tactics
- Week 10 - DUI / Arrests
- Week 11 - Drugs
- Week 12 - K-9 / Traffic Stops
- Week 13 - MILO / Graduation
